SW Illinois | Had what might have been a close call the other night. We had issues with the dryer, so I went for tools at midnight. When I got close to the shop, I heard air hissing and the compressor running. I walked in and found a 1/2” air hose had blown sometime during the night. The compressor had run a long time and there was a slight haze in the whole shop from hot oil on the compressor housing. It’s got us thinking about a way to prevent this. We have a ball valve at every drop and reel that can be shut off, but I’m thinking of a way to shut the ball valve at the compressor outlet. I thought about an electric valve with wireless remote controls placed by every reel, so we don’t have to walk clear across the shop to turn the compressor valve on. Does anyone have experience putting something like this together? | |
