Its going to be pretty slow going with that type/size of rake. For a couple hundred bales it should be alright, but I wouldn't want to do much more. Also wont follow the contours quite as well as a wheel rake.

What is falling apart on yours? We have made tens of thousands of bales with a H&S high capacity rake and have done nothing but replace all the wheels once and some teeth before that.


Hello Jeff - I'm sorry - wasn't very clear in my post - I wanted to know two things in the one question:

1. Will it work in corn stalks?

2. Will it fall apart?

I also have a 19 wheel H&S rake we have used in stalks, and it works fine. But I'm trying to not get as much dirt in all my bales. I have been testing it all, and have been surprised how better it tests if i keep the dirt out.
