Western-Central Lower Michigan | Got a friend who is a Rural route delivery person. She is a SUB. That is step one, get in the system as a sub.
Then when a full time driver retires, the job is filled by anyone in that Postmasters office first. So a full timer in that post office would have dibs by seniority for the vacant route. Then the SUBS would have a shot at it by seniority.
I dont remember hearing of any full time post office "delivery" job being filled off the street. |
