Please.....anyone with experience or knowledge of the new 900 series Challengers with 4 singles? I guess they have around 450-500 hp and for tires use the floater-type softer tires, which may also be dueled. Thanks for any help and opinions...
the ones with big singles are probably coming off scraper duty.
they are build heavy. go to the website http://www.challenger-ag.us/products/tractors/mt900e-series-4-wheel... and compare specs to the others out there. very stout built tractors.
not very popular but the guys that I have met that have them like them. they pull.
if you get one with the c-18 engine you can have 750 hp for the cost of a tuner. then you have a pulling tractor!!
the V 12 had some crank issue in the beginning but they have that fixed.
I would take a 900 series before any other articulate based on heavy duty build.
I would also take a look at versatile based on a basic machine that is meant to pull and had a very good price point.
Claas Xerion would be an interesting tractor. if you need more then just a big drawbar tractor it would be pretty neat. front and rear 3pt and pto, 30 mph road speed, crab walk for packing piles.
deere would be the last articulate I would get.
