Carmi, IL | What are other options to control high cholesterol other than a statin? I have tried several and currently taking generic Crestor at 20 mg. They all have caused muscle aches, joint pain, insomnia and lack of motivation to do anything. Also the side effects make me a grumpy old man and no fun to be around. I stopped the Crestor this weekend and feel amazingly better.
I have also tried a cinnamon concoction and a table spoon of vinegar a day. These did not work and was put back on a statin.
