This kind of bull **** at a land auction needs to stop.
Go to the auction and bid until you are the highest bidder, take all tracts at that price. After everyone has left, tell them that you forgot your check book, leave to go get it and never return.
Don't forget your checkbook when you get arrested, you may need it for bail.
I know it is not the right thing to do, but when people become so greedy that they use tricks like this, it sure makes me want to waste a bunch of their time. Getting arrested that would require a court order here since this is a civil matter.
