East Central Ia | Demo’d a 1042 with dual big tires last fall.
It was a very neat tractor with a lot of cool features. The CVT plus the MAN engine took some getting used too for me.
Something was off though as the one we demonstrated burned a tank of DEF too half a tank of fuel.
We pulled our chisel plow with it that we normally use our MT855C (C15 475hp) with and it we had to raise the chisel up to maintain speed.
We then put our MT775E (400hp Sisu 9.7L 7cyl) on it to finish up after the demo was over and it pulled better then the 1042.
Local manure hauler runs a few of them singled up and likes them as far as I know.
Neat tractor and we would consider one when the time comes to update our wheel tractor.
