| Vietnam 1965 our marine platoon ordered to help unload shipment of beer on Chu Lai beach. About 500 pallets of every kind including Blatz. Of course had to sneak a sample every so often. Side effect got very foggy on a hot sunshine day.
For some reason all the good beers and soda pop went to the officers?? The grunts got blatz, black label, goetz, mickey beers (2 cans a week with ration card) dietrite, and tab soda pop no refrigeration either. Could occasionally buy budwiser, miller,pepsi ,coke etc on black market | |
