If a planter in a big field will avg 15ac/ hr, crop avgs 180bu/ac, and the price is $3.50/bu that means at harvest that 1 hr of planting grossed $9,450/ hr. Now if it take 1 hr to plant that 8 ac field the planter will only gross $5,040, a difference of -$4,410/ ac which should be reflected in the rent price.
