Your right on a large farm that would be purchased as a investment, which makes the gov programs that drive up land values bad for farmer. I would disagree using that method on the old 8 ac pasture field that came with the 15 ac "mini farm" someone purchased with a house to live in. Your saving them money on taxes and paying someone or buying a $20k John Deere xl sized lawn mower to bush hog it with.
