It used to be(maybe it still is) that small tracts were pretty easy to get enrolled in CRP. May be able to convince landlord that he/she has a better chance to get into heaven if they protect pollinators/ sequester CO2/ provide habitat for upland game etc, etc. Maybe it will never work who knows?
