Revenue range for the yields you posted are about $145 for corn and $130 for beans per acre from contract high to low, basis not included. Maybe that should be a bigger focus for you. The time to look at prices is when the unknowns are greatest, not at a time when the harvest low is right in front of us.

You asked him for a $200 break, he gave in for $100, sounds like a decent compromise. Always ask for a little more than what you really want/need so when/if they give a little, its closer to what you really want.
