| This is the reason why we NEVER have anyone alone at a big while unloading ESPECIALLY when finishing a sweep. It's just too dangerous not to have a helper watch the switch. At the very least, a switch should be within easy reach inside the bin if you can't find any help. They're easy to wire, especially if they are on a magnetic starter.
My FIL tripped over a sweep auger several years ago. Had I not been there to push him up onto the pile of corn out of the way, then hit the shutoff, it wouldn't have been pretty for home either. He went ass over tin cups right in front of the auger. | |
