just tee into the hoist line, put a ball valve on it so if you want to bolt the gate shut and haul grain you wont be trying to pop the gate open. Depending how you size your cylinder and the lift geometry forces, it will determine if the gate or the hoist raises first. If your hoists goes first and the load shift against the gate it will pop it open anyway I guess.
