Subject: RE: John Deere Track tractor reliability

Somerset WI
We run a 2011 Deere RT , 2007 Cat 800MT 07, and 2014 quadtrac.

I don't know the hours (maybe 3000) but the RT has had ZERO issues with tracks/bogies/idlers.

The Cat had some bogies delaminate originally but we've since changed to poly bogies and it hasn't been an issue since.

The Quadtrac is a great tractor but the undercarriage seals have failed us a couple times which has lead to one bearing/boggie failure. We installed CIH upgraded seal kits in all of the wheels this summer... we'll see how they hold up.

We use an infrared heat gun to check the temperature side to side, maybe once a year, and adjust the track alignment accordingly.
