What does it take to achieve those yields? Those numbers are 2x what we see here


Honestly, it’s just dumb luck. That’s a really good part of my best field. We had 5” of rain in May, which is unheard of. Then we got another 1.5” in June, again unheard of here. Then it didn’t get stupid hot until the grain was finished filling. I didn’t, and would never fertilize for such yields. I figure on a 80 bushel crop and usually get 75.

I guess it’s better to be lucky than good?
