When I was in engineering school I spent a lot of time on the weekends in the Copper Country exploring all the mines and a lot of time at the Quincy before it was restored. So the Nordberg Hoist holds about 6,000 ft of 1 1/2 in or 2 in cable. Huge mine for its time.
