Texas/New Mexico Stateline
It was in the news last week that the Las Vegas law enforcement and FBI more or less closed the case on the mass shooting from year ago. Basically said they had no idea why the guy did it, and showed no signs to raise concern beforehand. His Dr. said he was somewhat anxious and had a "troubled mind", but not a clinical case in his view. He had prescribed some mild sedatives, and that was all. Shooter had been taking them, but they did not find enough in his system to really matter to any degree.

Anyway, the point is I can see two sides of this. If there had been a way to catch some warning signs, instigated some counseling or treatment, maybe those 50+ people would not have been gunned down. ???? Especially in this guys case where he had basically no friends, and was not close to family. A good Dr. might have been the only person that really was concerned about his mental state.
