Subject: Conversation about suicide. Warning, long read

SE SD
Had an interesting conversation with, let's say, a health professional yesterday.
I have know this person for many years, always fun to be around and very knowledgeable.

The conversation tip toed around our new "house from hell" and the issues with it, along with
the strain and added frustration to....how are you doing....I noticed your not your old self....leading to a discussion about depression and suicide.

(Disclaimer here.... I am not planning to take myself out...........yet)

As we discussed depression and suicidale tendency, two little words slipped in, mandatory reporter.
Now our conversation took a turn. I was focused on that "mandatory reporting" and just what it entailed.

From the jest of our visit, and to condense this post a litte. This is the senerio that is "possible"

.1. You have a visit with a mental health professional
2. Your diagnosed with depression
3. Your suicidale thoughts get you labeled as a threat to yourself
4.. Mandatoraly your issue is reported.
5. Authorities now have the "legal" means to enter your residence and and remove
Items they see as a danger to you.

And I wonder why people are so hesitant to seek help.
