Subject: Not chigger bites but along that line

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Got a text from my friend in PA. You may have heard about the blood infections some out there are getting from Deer Ticks. My friend was one of them. He was in hospital four days. He said he was so weak that he couldn't stand. He got released yesterday to go home but he has to take it easy for quite a while.

I texted him as to whether he would be more or less susceptible to a recurrence. He said the Doctor said he would have a slight immunity this season but by next year it will have worn off. I don't know if they actually found a tick or suspected the problem due to his symptoms. What he had is called anaplasmosis. He said it is commonly called Lyme's Squared or Angry Lyme's.

I did a Google search and apparently it is quite common in dogs. GF was on a girls weekend with some other nurses. All of them who were outside with out socks got mite bites on their feet.
