I would look for some plastic lined pipe.  It is abundant if you ask for it and you won't have any trouble working with it once you learn how.

Buying the plastic lined material will not cost any more but will be nearly bullet proof for your lifetime.  It is heavier and will reduce the total feet you can haul in a load, but other than that it is a great way to buy used pipe safely. 

Edit to add:  There is a lot of it around Electra, TX and Wichita Falls, TX.  Just search craigslist and you will find it.
