The factory equipped JD tractors/combines/sprayers use battery disconnects on the GROUND cable.

If a $10 disconnect works for anyone, that's great. We melted a $30 disconnect on an IH Farmall a couple years ago. Not thru abuse either.

was it a 6 volt system by chance ?
