Are you saying you had some extremely crazy thick HY-80 plate that you milled/turned into a bushing? If so, why did you have HY-80 that thick on hand?


Yes. HY plate used to be easy to find and somewhat cheap at the scrap yard around Norfolk Virginia due to the naval shipyards. I have a neighbor that use to get the HY plate to build grapples for large excavators for clearing land so he had plenty of it on had. I think it was 1.5 or 2 inch. Used it for several years on a 800 bu cart.
