I agree that price knows. It knows everything that is known (we may not know it individually but the market does). Where we differ is what it tells you about the future. My belief is it tells you nothing. The next known to be priced is not in the price or knowable by anyone.
As you stated, it's your belief. Let me ask you what value is knowing the ending stocks on jan10? Any opportunity for this year is long gone. And now the shift is to worrying about next years ending stocks which again won t be known til the following January. To me ending stocks really only afford you the opportunity to make excuses..."who would have known ...If only it hadn't rained....That darn pres of ours...if August had been hot..." its an endless circle of lagging information that provides little real value.
