One thing to keep in mind with balage is time... The wetter the bales, the less time you have to move them. We made some for a neighbor when he wanted to beat the rain, we were making 3x3x5.5 squares, we beat the rain with the baling, but not the wrapping. They turned into mush bales, and we had a heck of a time picking them up and wrapping. There were a lot of factors that played into that, it happens rarely, but is something that you need to keep in mind, especially if you are going to bale while the kids are in school. In a perfect world we try and have everything wrapped within 4-6hrs of the first bale hitting the ground and at worst within 8-12hrs at most depending on how many we are making. Like you a lot depends on how much help we have.
