NEIN | The equipment you list would not be worth 50k unless its all like new. You only need a GOOD planter and tractor and sprayer. The rest can be hired for that many acres.
Given the consolidation trend in Ag be prepared to only farm the acres you buy because expansion opportunities for someone with less than 2-3k acres currently are and will become nill. It will happen so fast you you wont believe it. Looking back, I would say keep the job, buy the land and rent it out and use it for lifestyle living someday. Realestate is your friend. Good luck. | |
