Tracks are a little different as the tracks do not slip on dirt as much as tires so the hydros take a lot more abuse as in they get stalled out. Wheel machine will spin tires before stalling out.
A higher percentage of track machines are purchased to dig with than wheeled machines. Lots of wheeled machines are running pallet forks and other light duty stuff. Non livestock farms can be a very easy life for a skidder.

Who owned it and what they did with it is everything. One of mine belonged to a airport-nice cushy job and excellent maintenance records but it had a lot of hours (5600).
