The Palouse North Idaho | Besides setting a rent price, you want to protect the land and the grass resource so you have to agree on management practices. Always have an escape clause that allows you to end the lease with X days notice for certain causes. I've seen people ruin good pastures by poor management and then just walk away. The beauty of pasture land is that it is a renewable resource that keeps on producing under the right management. Remember you're renting the resource, your not giving the renter carte blanche to do whatever he wants and leave you a mess because he paid you rent.
As far a the fence, I agree with the other poster. If the renter does the labor and you provide the materials, let him take the labor off the rent The fencing is your responsibility. Work out a deal, put it up yourself or hire a fencing contractor to put I up. | |
