| I agree with rampage, I have been growing enogen corn now since 2013. Last year was the first year for feed as the previous years it went to ethanol plants. Per acre enogen has been very good as the hybrids yield great and the premium paid and trucking paid treated us well.
The feed aspect looks and I hope is as promising as it sounds. From a planting perspective, guys with central fill planters its a breeze, I still run boxes so clean out takes a little more, but if I really sat down and figured my wage for doing it, well don’t tell syngenta because they might want more haha.
Another thing it was an easy fit for us as we had been using syngenta products, but I never told them, but always felt they were being humble by not tacking a big price tag on the product. Used it as a growth tool and in places it worked well for both farmer and syngentas seed business | |
