Subject: RE: Do Union Dues make economic sense?

went to trade school graduate worked in non union shops for a few years with no incentive to advance. then got a job in a union shop which offered me an apprentship for four years, which I advanced over the years by bidding on different jobs with better pay. Started out at $2.39 per hour {1963} to $23.65 {2003} as a tool and die maker. Yes 40 years and when dealing with a large corperation a single person means nothing to them, they hire these young college idoit that know nothing about manufactureing that come up with a lot of unsafe methods of doing things.
