| Put my gauge up Saturday. Have a half inch since then, so not too bad from this last round of rain.
Already talked to Jarod, you may have seen his reports to the drainage board about this in the paper. Same old story, no money in the drain fund and no assessment to get any money. takes 70% of the acres to agree to put an assessment on it and that is not going to happen. Majority of the acres into the drain are absentee landlords who have NO interest in spending the money.
Jarod's advice, " Hire a contractor to do the job and pay the bill."
I agree with you that he is doing a fine job and have had more ditchs fixed in the last 6 years than I can ever remember. These old drains are breaking down and getting expensive to maintain.
