Correct me if I am in error, but I understand that is not a true "tax credit" but instead a loaned tax credit to be paid back over an 8 or 10 year period. People I consider in the know have advised me of this. On the face this looks great for 1st timers, but it's just another loan to be paid back it appears to me. Just an assist to get in now to help prop up the sinking housing market. Still might be better off if housing drops more than the $8000 figure IMHO | |
