It's not a "new" question if you are a regular donar(READ: a fanatical donar) At least the last three times, maybe four, they have asked that. I think they started with the women, because my wife was somewhat offended when they asked her. We gave about the same time, I might have given a week earlier. The next time I gave, they asked me if I was born a male. The Red cross folks told me it was to see if you had been through a sex change operation.
Don't quit giving- it might be your kid, ar a kid from your 4-H club or Sunday school class that needs a transfusion.
Giving blood MIGHT help your cholesterol, too. You drain the oil to get rid of contaminants, don't you?
