Nw Iowa | Same here, I have permit to carry and I thought I would get in more trouble with gun than without. Had a gun legally in my vehicle but not any more. I also have grandkids that are getting old enough to ride with me and couldn't live with myself if anything happened. Now if you are going to break into my house that may be a different story. Even than very concerned about kids, they have a natural curiosity with guns. Hard to make it easy to reach but yet childproof. I keep magazine out of gun but have alarms and other stuff to give me a few extra seconds to chamber gun. Rather be shot than have grandchild have a accident. Would be interested in a taser as one would be more likely to use it and would have second chance to sort out details of what was going on. Don't know much about them and following this post.
