Aberdeen MS | Is that 40% off of normal billed price or accepted cash no insurance price?
Last winter I had a broncosopy (sp?), first billed price to the ins com was 9800 for the hospital charges. $1100 for the Dr charges. Chest CT was billed out at $2450.
Ins company kicked it down to $3150. As my deductible wasn't met yet, my full cost. Paying cash in full at that point gave me a 15% discount for $2680. Dr accepted $440 paid in full. CT out of pocket was $685 paid in full.
When all said and done, total initial billed price for my pneumonia with out hospital stay was just a bit over $19K, and I didn't meet my $5K deductible.
I'll have to ask my daughter what her plan consists of. She's an RNBN at HCMC Minneapolis. Level 1 Trauma. | |
