Central Kansas | Yesterday, I flew in an out of O’hare airport in Chicago and observed while on the plane, there were planes going EVER direction, taxing, taking off, and landing, leaving gates and so on. When we taxied to one of the runways to take off, there were 9 ahead of us an 9 behind us. Just a guess but I bet there were at least 50 airplanes moving at any given time.......
....so question I have is how many people in the control tower to say, watch 50 airplanes on the ground PLUSE the planes in the air after tak off and on approch?
One person per airplane? I think it would be a nightmare but on the other hand, they do an extremely good job keeping everyone sperateted! | |
