Subject: RE: Drive over dump pit

Elburn,IL
In 2013 we picked up a 13x71 westfield swing away and ended up buying a semi after that so what we did was get 2x2x8ft concrete barriers and put 3/4 of them in the ground and graveled the bottom so that way the water could drain. There is one on the front, one on the side and we put 2 where the rear axles would be and just made a grate to drive over. The hopper sits below the grate about a foot so we got used belting from our local grave pit and screwed it to the side so corn wouldn't over flow incase you break a shear bolt. One other thing we did was dig out where the rear tires on the tractor would sit so that way we had less angle on the swing away.
