Thanks for your thoughts. We are actually currently trying a fall Turbo Till and a fall and spring turbo till. We have found in the past that a fall pass does not break up the stalks as much as we would like and I believe the level of trash will give the planter fits in the spring, but a double pass really makes a pretty nice seed bed while leaving adequate residue coverage. The only drawback is you've made two passs at $5/pass and you still havn't put down any nitrogen. That's why I show interest in the strip till program. It's a work in progress.
