central nebraska
Depends, right? 2-4 week forecast will make or break.

I was shocked that the sandier soiled corn in this area are already curling and 2-3ft stunted today while ridging beans. Almost perfect conditions up until a week ago, except for HOT in between rains for the last month. We have another week of HOT(heat indexes +/-100) forecasted with small chances of rain during critical grain fill time. I would say we are far from dry still, but the crops aren't responding to the moisture we have received to this point. Almost everything went in 10-20 days late but they have caught up +some. Pivots full speed ahead where available, and gravity wells will have trouble keeping up.

It will be an interesting year here in central NE.
