Subject: RE: CRP Rant

Where would corn and bean prices be if we all put 10% of our corn base in crp? And yes, I received more than I could rent land for around here but I did it since I thought it would reduce erosion on one of my highly erodible fields. Unfortunately the seed that was planted doesn't reduce erosion as much as I hoped. Before entering anything in the pollinator program do your homework. I found out too late that pheasants were more important than erosion to the policy makers. I've been told that in years ahead it will improve cover but right now I'm not so sure. I hate the way it looks, but if prices don't improved this could be the right decision.
