NW IA | When I was a kid we were visiting family in Northwest Washington and went fishing for salmon in the sound near what I believe was called Powel River.
We got on top of a "school" of cod, my cousins were realing them in right and left, I caught a 20 some pound red snapper.
The adults wanted to get away from there to find salmon, the real action. They got skunked, and in my opinion it must be the sport of catching salmon because the snapper and cod were 10 times better eating than the salmon that were caught later.
32 pounds is impressive! | |
