I'm sure all the engineers that designed that POS were pretty proud of themselves when it worked every time in a controlled enviroment every time. Ford has another POS on their spare tire. A small winch assembly that cranks a cable up to pull the spare up. Works good until the cheap made in mexico winch falls apart inside and frays the cable all to h@ll. Ask me how I know?! About $75 bucks for a new one.
