Ol’ Wisco | Check with the Tax Payers Alliance out of Wisconsin. They went through the same battle as you guys are in NE with rogue school districts spending like drunken’ sailors and the burden mostly falling on farmland owners. Now the taxes on farmland in WI are based on a use rate. Primarily because of the Tax Payers Alliance and their advocacy for farmers and land owners not to have to foot the entire bill for school districts. | |
