So, what's the procedure to "normalize" the data?
Hi Pofarmer,
It's just a fancy term for converting to percentages. So in this case, it was the amount of the price decrease divided by the starting price gives you the percentage pullback.
I think I read where someone was asking about the previous 2 months. IMHO, that wouldn't be comparing apples to apples because as the adage goes "Price takes the stairs up and the elevator down." One could dig into it alot more with all sorts of more relevant ways to measure, like making new lows, or the ones that failed led to what etc.
