Subject: RE: conditions and yields

Fontanelle, IA
"here" we will have just above a 10 yr APH yield on corn. And, we will need perfect ideal conditions from here on out to do it. Too much brittlesnap after last Thursday's storm. I am a slow starter with the planter vs. my neighbors.... my first planted 112 crm corn is tasseling right now almost 5 days sooner than last year's 107 crm corn.

Hay crop was off ~ 20-25% for 1st cutting. Second cutting (just started mowing today) looks lighter than last 2-3 years. Does alfalfa and corn and soybean yields correlate? Don't know.....

Soybean yields are up in the air now. Lots of really nice fields of beans "here" although canopy seems to be slower. I

i'm just waiting for SDS to start showing up...…. You can probably guess my barometer.....
