Living History Farms and the Machine Shed restaurant right next to it. Going this weekend. If they like trains, Trainland in Colefax is supposed to be a great stop. a huge Lionel O gauge setup. Also train related NW of DSM is the Boone and Scenic Valley Railway. The High Tressel Bridge at Sailorville is a fun walk too. Court Ave for the farmers market is a good time as well.
