E. Kansas | The supplier probably didn't agree to be paid after the delivery of the product. When you order something, from that date there is a due date triggered in which the full amount of the charges must be paid. You've probably signed something to agree to that and how any late charges will be figured. It is likely that none of that has anything to do with the obligation of them to deliver the product by a due date or imposing any established penalties or other concessions that they are obligated to pay you. In some industries, a product that is ordered has a due date for delivery as part of the sales agreement, with clearly defined penalties for late delivery. All that is agreed to by both parties before order/purchase is made.
I think you need to have a long talk with the manager of the place about their history of late delivery of products you ordered if you continue to do business there.
