Southern Idaho | A few years ago here it rained and rained and just kept raining for two weeks right in the middle of wheat harvest. It was so wet for so long that most of the wheat started sprouting and growing in the head. Luckily we had all of our wheat done before the rain and just a little barley left to do. The grain elevators wouldn't accept the sprouted grain if it was over a certain percentage sprouted, which almost all of it was in our area after the rain. | |
