C IL | It’s been 24 hours since the last rain here. Corn tasseled this week, soil moisture profile is plum full. It’s been raining about every 24-36 hours for two weeks. Gentle beautiful rains. Chance of another 3/10’s on Sunday.
Corn looks as good as I’ve ever seen it and there are two ears silking on every plant. Saw zero gray leaf spot looking around today. A few Japanese beetles.
Beans are a touch uneven. 10 days of 90 degrees and no rain will make beans look stellar and won’t phase any corn here due to excellent soil moisture. Only way I could get a better 7 day outlook is if it was a few degrees cooler and I’m not even sure about that since beans like the heat.
I don’t imagine the N IA and S MN guys really need 3 more inches in the next 7 days. | |
