Monett Missouri
You can do it but it is dangerous to treat the bales. Gas escapes when you remove probe from bale. More cost effective to use large plastic cover. Like 40x100. 6 mil. Weigh some bales and get an average. Put 2.5% anhydrous in stack. It is best if bales are dry as the anhydrous collects in the wet hay and can cause trouble when fed. We use Ag lime or dirt to seal plastic to ground. Straight stacks, the right size bales, and several hands make the job easier. Don't try to put it on in the heat of the day. Plastic will be soft and tear. Also put gas in over night
